Blue Cross is dedicated to creating a healthier Massachusetts – we back up that commitment through a culture of service, investing in our communities and protecting our environment.
Knowledge-Based Volunteering
These programs allow our associates to bring their unique skills and talents to organizations, from assisting with public relations to mentoring school children.
Service Day
On our seventh annual Service Day, over 3,100 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts associates volunteered in support of 55 service sites across the Commonwealth. Together with our nonprofit partners, we provided critical support to address community needs focused on healthy living. This day is the most popular event for our associates as they come together to serve across the state.
Corporate Gardens
“Growth opportunity” takes on a fun new meaning in our Corporate Gardens program, where you can dig in the dirt, learn how to plant crops, connect with nature and fellow colleagues, and harvest what you sow.
Solar Panels
As big fans of green energy and a healthier planet, we’re proud to support solar projects in Hopedale and Mendon, Massachusetts — two efforts that have collectively increased the amount of solar-generated power in Massachusetts by 13%
LEED Certified Buildings
Our associates, their happiness and well-being mean the world to us, and it shows in our commitment to creating the healthiest work environment possible — from the locally-sourced food we serve to the brightly-lit, toxin free offices.
